In September 2025, Canada's manufacturing sales experienced a notable increase of 3.3% from the previous month, reaching C$72.1 billion. This recovery follows a 1% decline in August and surpasses the anticipated 2.8% growth. This achievement represents the highest sales level since February 2025. Among the 21 subsectors, 14 reported sales growth, notably in transportation equipment and petroleum and coal sectors. Specifically, sales of transportation equipment rose by 9.2% to C$11.7 billion, marking the highest figures since February. All industry groups within this subsector reported advances, except for railroad rolling stock, with motor vehicle sales climbing by 11.8% and aerospace products and parts by 13%. Additionally, petroleum and coal sales experienced a 5.3% increase to C$7.6 billion, driven by higher prices and volumes. The majority of Canadian provinces, nine in total, registered sales growth, prominently Ontario with a 3.4% rise and Quebec with a 2.6% increase. On an annual basis, overall manufacturing sales increased by 2.7%.
